"Thanks to this film, I could answer the questions emerging inside my mind": the Japanese director Yutaka Tsunemachi about the film "Drifting Flowers, Flowing Days"

The young Japanese director Yutaka Tsunemachi and the actor Hiroki Sato presented the film "Drifting Flowers, Flowing Days" taking part in the Main Competition of the 45th Moscow International Film Festival.

"I made this film when I was 21, just before the pandemic started. The idea for the film came from everyday life. I wanted to reflect my emotions in the screen. Thanks to this film, I could answer the questions emerging inside my mind. And I hope they will echo those experienced by other young people, including those from Russia. And if, after watching the film, they will want to meet their family or friends they haven't talked to for a long time, that would be great indeed", commented Yutaka Tsunemachi.

The film "Drifting Flowers, Flowing Days" tells the story of three young Tokyo residents, Hiroto, Futaba, and Daigo. Their lives seem to flow as usual, but something begins to change when they start thinking about the present and what the future holds for them.
