"I and my character have two common things, they are a PTS and PTSD": the actor Petr Fedorov about the film There

The director Ivan Petukhov, the cinematographer Pavel Beklemishev, the actors Petr Fedorov and Irina Starshenbaum, the producers Lala Rustamova and Timur Asadov introduced the film There participating in the Russian Premiere competition of 47th Moscow International Film Festival.

The film tells a story about Vadim who got accustomed to driving and living by a navigator, and Vera's life is one big adventure. The two opposites, five picturesque cities, 1,500 kilometers in a standard city taxi and millions of emotions on the way to each other: all this is in the sunny comedy about the journey, which changes everything. Let's go!

Ivan Petukhov: "The film, basically, was born from endless conversations with taxi drivers. I enjoy talking, especially with people I hardly know and I really talk with each taxi driver. Hundreds of stories emerge from this, for example, I remember that one driver once told me he worked as an ice resurfacer, but at some point followed his wife who moved to Liechtenstein where, as it turned out, there are no skating rinks and he had to return to Moscow and to become a taxi driver. So, these stories actually accumulated to form a film".

Petr Fedorov: "I fail to reach the artistic image of this character, in the actor's profession sometimes you want to seek inspiration from your character, to improve with him, for which I am grateful to Vadim. We have two common things with him, they are a PTS (passport for transport vehicle) and PTSD (post-traumatic stress disorder). These are two fundamental things, without which there is no Vadim or myself".

Irina Starshenbaum: "For me a taxi is a place where I can keep silent and reboot, so in normal life I do not talk with drivers, I even do not listen to music, I am a boring passenger. This is the third time we have made a film with Vanya Petukhov and it now seems he writes roles of crazy women specifically for me, and I have wanted to work with Petya for a very long time, we even played in a teaser of one directorial project together".

Pavel Beklemishev: "Our profession is connected with regular trips and after the shooting I drove along this route where we made the film, and I liked it a lot".

Lala Rustamova: "We like shooting films in different Russian regions, well, this is also how we started our well-known franchise Yolki. Here at the shooting all cities and regions supported us, we received incredible emotional support from them".

Timur Asadov: "We as producers were lucky to talk not only with taxi drivers, but also the wonderful Vanya Petukhov, so, finally, I feel we made a great romantic film".
